BIODEGRADATION OF METHYLENE BLUE BY BACTERIA STRAINS ISOLATED FROM CONTAMINATED SOIL

نویسندگان

چکیده

Methylene blue is one of the textile dyes that are commonly used in coloring industry. The discharge wastewater containing residual substances into environment can lead to environmental pollution. Thus, bioremediation be a solution reduce dye pollution by using bacterial strains. In present study, two strains with ability degrade methylene were isolated from contaminated soil. Both bacteria further evaluated for decolorization percentage and effect abiotic parameters on growth. incubated mineral salt medium added eight days static aerobic conditions. degradation was examined UV-VIS spectrophotometer at 665 nm. identified as Klebsiella pneumoniae strain UMTFA1 (EK) Pseudomonas aeruginosa UMTFA2 (EP) 16s rRNA sequencing. biodegradation study showed capable 10.52% 11.65% after 8 incubation, respectively. may provide basis biotreatment dye-contaminated soils.

Biodegradation of Polychlorinated Biphenyls by and Isolated from Contaminated Soil

Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) cause many significant ecological problems because of their low degradability, high harmfulness, and solid bioaccumulation. Two bacterial strains were isolated from soil that had been polluted with electrical transformer liquid for more than 40 years. The isolates were distinguished as Lysinibacillus macrolides DSM54Tand Bacillus firmus NBRC1530...

Biodegradation of Reactive Dye Reactive Violet 5 by Bacteria Isolated from Dye Contaminated Soil

The Pseudomonas aeruginosa GSM3 isolated from dye contaminated soil was able to degrade Reactive Violet 5 completely as a sole source of carbon (300 mgL) within 20 h under static condition. The organism exhibited good decolorization ability in the pH ranges from 5.0 to 9.0 and temperature from 30 to 40C respectively. The optimum degradation was observed at 37C and pH 7. The maximum concentratio...
